Phoenix Pet Expo: 11 reasons you should be there

phoenix pet expoThe Phoenix Pet Expo is this Saturday, June 12 and we at are pretty excited! We’ll be there as part of the Top Dog Paw of Approval consortium. It’s going to be a pretty action-packed day so if you’re in the area, you should definitely check it out. Here are 11 reasons you should be at the Phoenix Pet Expo on Saturday:

1. Admission and parking are free; your big dog is welcome to come too!
 2. Get your big dog vaccinated at the low-cost clinic on-site.  Microchipping is available too for just $15
3. Check out a pet fashion show
4. Watch agility training and flyball demos
5. Hear presentations by Top Dog Eileen Proctor and Liam Crowe of BarkBusters
6. Cheer on the owner/pet lookalike contest
7. Enter your big dog in a pet costume contest
8. Win prizes in the many giveaways throughout the day
9. Laugh at the stupid human/smart dog contest
10. Meet the team
11. Find new ways to bond with and spoil your big dog with dog accessories!

There are about 175 exhibitors, including several rescue groups, so you’re bound to find something to suit your needs. Whether it’s finding a dog-sitter, asking a trainer a question that you’ve been wondering about or finding some interesting new products, the expo is sure to satisfy.

The expo runs from 10am to 6pm on Saturday at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. Pets are welcome but must be current on vaccinations and on a non-retractable leash. It’s indoors and air-conditioned, which is a nice escape from the Phoenix heat.

If you go, come say hi to us! We’d love to meet you. The Top Dog Paw of Approval Consortium, featuring and other fantastic dog-centered groups, is in booths #625, 627 and 629 near the flyball course. There will be giveaways and drawings from our consortium, in addition to the expo’s giveaways.

If you’re not in the Phoenix area, check out the Phoenix Pet Expo website anyway – there are more expos just like it happening around the country over the next several months. There may be one coming to your area.

Hope to see you there!
