Recall Issued On More Dry Dog Food

Wellness dog food recall

Wellness is issuing a recall on one line of their dry dog food.

Some of their 12-pound packages of Small Breed Adult Health Dry Dog Food was found to have excess moisture. This doesn’t sound too bad, until you realize that this means the food could be molding as it sits on a store shelf or in your pantry. Mold can have serious health issues if ingested, so Wellness has recalled the affected batch.

To tell if your bag is affected, look for a best-by date of August 18, 2012.

If you have one of the affected bags, Wellness is asking you to contact them and they will replace it. They can be contacted at 1-800-225-0904.

Many recalls start with just one batch, then later are expanded to more batches and other foods. We at PawPosse.com will keep our eyes and ears open and let you know of any recall expansions announced by Wellness or the FDA.
